Mobi™ is a portable handheld Operator Control Unit (OCU) for commanding unmanned robotic platforms. Its modular design allows the choice of control inputs (joysticks, rockers, switches, scroll wheels, buttons, etc.) needed to intuitively control robots. The system consists of a hardened computer/display attached to two handles that house the interchangeable control inputs. It also contains a copy of Mobius™, the de facto standard in robotic vehicle command and control software. A support neck strap is supplied to reduce operator fatigue and free up hands for other activities. Mobi’s flexible and robust design provides a superior user interface solution that can be adapted to fit an unlimited variety of robots and operating environments.
