A mission is a collection of tasks for one or more vehicles. They can range in complexity from a single task to dozens of tasks for multiple vehicles.
If all obstacles are known and marked on the map, planning a mission is as easy as clicking on the end point for each vehicle. If obstacles are not known, or have not been marked, the path can be manually drawn with Path Builder.
For multi-vehicle missions, Mobius includes several advanced features. In a convoy task, a string of vehicles can follow a single leader down a path. Mobius keeps a safe distance between each vehicle, but you can specify a larger distance. Following vehicles will automatically join the convoy.
In a field coverage application such as harvesting, a truck can be programmed to automatically follow a harvester at a set distance and offset to catch the harvested crop. Or several tractors can be programmed to travel in an echelon, following adjacent rows.
Whatever the mission is, Mobius can do most of the work. It can find the most efficient paths for each vehicle, and coordinate multi-vehicle missions.
