Autonomous Solution Inc.’s Autonomous Multi Vehicle User Interface “MARS” renamed “MOBIUS” |

LOGAN, Utah — June 19, 2003 — In an effort to avoid confusion with DARPA’s Mobile Autonomous Robot Software (MARS) program, Autonomous Solutions Inc. announced that it has renamed its autonomous multi vehicle user interface software previously known as the Mission Assignment and Reconnaissance System (MARS), to MOBIUS.
It is hoped that the new name will better differentiate the software within the robotics community and avoid confusion. MOBIUS is a user interface for the control and tasking of multiple autonomous vehicles that is currently being offered to customers of ASI’s Proving Grounds Automation Package (PGAP). It contains many features and user enhancements that have been fine-tuned over the last several years of autonomous vehicle development at ASI. For more information on MOBIUS see ASI’s web-site at:
